Michael F. DeMark, 70, of Penn Twp., formerly of Jeannette, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
He was born on December 20, 1953 in Jeannette, PA, to Michael and Elizabeth (Hartung) DeMark.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Deborah (Deguffroy) DeMark; three amazing children, Missy (Josh) List, Michael (Brittany Perry) DeMark, and Matthew DeMark. He found immense joy in his grandchildren Bella, Norah, Roscoe, and Michael. He was the loving brother of Mickie (the late Tom) Beggs, Tina Shrum, and Rick (Kerry) DeMark; and brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Megan Deguffroy. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. His love for his friends was boundless, and he always treated them like family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robin DeMark.
Mike was a graduate of Jeannette High School and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career in quality control for Westinghouse at Bettis Laboratory and went on to work for OMNOVA Solutions where he retired after nearly 40 years of service. After his retirement, he most recently worked as a purchasing supervisor for FS-Elliot. Mike was passionate about sports and enjoyed his time playing baseball and football at West Liberty University. He especially loved coaching his children, along with many others in the community which left a lasting impact on their lives. He found solace on the golf course with his buddies and reveled in his title as the all-time fantasy football winner. But above all, his steadfast relationship with God was the cornerstone of his strength and character. Mike will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and the inspiration he brought to everyone around him. Though he may be gone, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
